The north has produced some of the grittiest and dynamic bands in recent years, whether it be from fuzz filled emo or the explosive glitch of hardcore, something within the harshness of the northern counties translates through music exceptionally well. New onto the scene to continue that trend is post-punk outfit Dazed. Forming in 2017, Leeds, their latest single 'Stained Glass Windows' introduces a crunchier tone to not just their 90s rhythm but a theatrical and identifiable vocal delivery. Following suit for other emo bands, the lack of high-end production doesn't take away from the record and creates a garage/house show anthem providing character that most other groups desperately lack from the start.

Zak Lonsdale (Guitar/Vocals) explains "The track is mainly about the struggle I’ve faced in the past couple of years with mental health and toxic relationships with people, I ended up writing it with a lot of religious imagery and metaphor which became a link to how I felt knowing if a 'God' did exist why did I end up in a constant loop of unhappiness and upset"
Dazed's upcoming EP 'Everything Has Changed' is set to be released in the near future. Listen to 'Stained Glass Windows' below
