Chesterfield born trop-pop youngster Casey Lowry released his latest project Nervous today after a number of shows with Conor Maynard across the UK. This being the fourth project in his sun-soaked and sandwashed career, he has seen recent bouts of success with charisma, catchy melody and bright percussion to ensure the festival never stops.

The flare filled reading fest develops in the second track 'Feeling No Feeling' with references to the cinematic holiday-scape Casey's brand oozes. It's a high pace single which engages a foothold in the project to pick up the tempo from lead single 'Nervous' that although slower and emotive, has the best hooks and vocal melodies on the EP. The anthemic lines compliment the free jazz style lead that sits below the rest of the electronic sampling, bringing in some better and more modernised influences.
Casey's influence range from performance royalty Don Broco to the energetic and riff-filled Two Door Cinema Club and its ever so present in an EP that seems to have focused in much more on the tastes and interests of the man himself. 'Monster' follows bouncy indie drum beats accompanied with an intertwining set of jangly and soft guitar leads. The subtleties and ambience of the mix and its electronic elements bring the trop-hop style that is consistent throughout much of the previous projects. 'Ferrari' utilises the more definitively and catchy structuring of the happy-go-lucky pop era we reside in, lyricism that lends itself comedically and brilliantly to his vibrant personality. A sense of youth emulates from the songwriting style but remains refined to its clever intricacy. Its fluidity from 'Monster' ensures a sweetened resolution to the conclusion of the project.
A growth of consideration for live performance is obvious. The EP shows a collection of more enjoyable experiences through the artists perspective as its instrumentals match a more relaxed and positive mind frame that many other contemporaries aim to adhere to within their later projects. Casey Lowry seems to not have only maintained this quality, but build on it with nothing but success.
